Your Heart Set in Stone
For a vow, an inheritance, a remembrance, or a stone waiting for its setting, Luna Soeur accepts a limited number of custom commissions. Each piece takes your meaning and develops it into the sculptural language of the house.
✥ We Begin with a Conversation ✥
The Process
I
Initial Conversation
The best place to begin is with a brief description of your project, your budget, and any relevant reference images for inspiration. Tell me about your vision, your story, and what you would like the piece to represent.
Please do not submit another contemporary jeweler’s work with the expectation that it will be duplicated. Every Luna Soeur commission is an original design created in the language of the house.

II
the Fit
I will review your inquiry and respond within two to three business days. If the project is a good fit for the Luna Soeur studio, we will clarify the scope, materials, timeline, and estimated investment before design work begins. Not every request will be the right fit, but every inquiry will be considered with care.
III
Retainer
If the project appears to be a good fit, I will invite you to purchase a Custom Design Consultation & Retainer. The design consultation fee is $200 and reserves dedicated time for a more detailed conversation, creative direction, preliminary research, sketches, and development of the commission. This fee is nonrefundable once design work has begun and compensates the professional work completed during this phase. If you choose to move forward with the approved project, the retainer is applied toward the final price.

IV
the Shape
Through our conversations, I will develop the initial concept through sketches, digital renderings (if applicable), or material studies, as appropriate to the piece. Your commission includes the original proposal and up to two considered rounds of revision.
Once the design, materials, and final estimate are approved, a 50% deposit secures the project, and we are ready to move from concept to creation. Substantial changes to the original brief, additional concepts, or further revisions may require an additional design fee.
V
Making
Stones and materials are secured, and fabrication begins at the Luna Soeur bench. Custom work generally requires eight to twelve weeks after final approval, although complex projects or specially sourced stones may require longer. Any significant change to the expected timeline will be communicated directly.

La Fin
Once the piece is complete, it is carefully finished, inspected, photographed, and prepared for presentation. The remaining balance is due before shipment. Your jewelry will travel fully insured, ready to enter the life for which it was made.
✥ The Particulars ✥
Before you Begin
Investment
Original commissions begin at $600 in sterling silver and $2,500 in solid 14k gold. Final pricing depends upon design complexity, gemstones, materials, and labor.
The $200 design consultation is applied toward the final price when the approved commission proceeds.
Heirloom Stones and Metals
When a project begins with an existing piece, I am happy to explore whether its stones or other meaningful elements can be carried into the new design. All materials must be inspected before their suitability can be confirmed.
Client-provided metal cannot always be reused safely. Unknown alloys, plating, solder, wear, and previous processing may compromise the strength of the finished piece. When its composition or condition cannot be verified, the commission will be fabricated in newly sourced metal of known quality.
Any original materials not used will be returned. I can also suggest options for having unwanted precious metal refined or recycled separately.
Fit and Feasibility
Commissioned work is collaborative, and the design phase exists to ensure that the piece is both structurally feasible and aligned with what you hope to create.
In rare cases, limitations discovered during development—or a significant divergence in direction—may mean that the project should not proceed to fabrication. If that occurs, the process ends at the design stage, and the consultation fee covers the professional work completed to that point.
Design Ownership
Original concepts, drawings, renderings, and design materials developed during the consultation remain the intellectual property of Luna Soeur. They may not be reproduced, shared for fabrication, or taken to another maker for production without written permission.
Payments & Final Sale
The design-consultation fee is nonrefundable once design work has begun. Fabrication deposits become nonrefundable once materials have been ordered or making has begun.
Because custom and personalized jewelry is created specifically for its wearer, it is final sale. If an adjustment or repair is needed, please contact the studio so the available options can be considered.
Begin Your Commission
Tell me what you have in mind.
Share the meaning, materials, and general direction of the piece you have in mind. There’s no need to arrive with a finished design. A clear sense of the occasion, the story, material preferences, and approximate investment is enough to begin. I review inquiries personally and generally respond within two to three business days.
We will never share your details with any third party.
