Luna Soeur is an independent jewelry house founded by artist and metalsmith Brenda Melancon. From her Missouri bench, she creates sculptural jewelry inspired by Creation, stories, architecture, and the relationships that give a life meaning.
We believe that the universe is a wondrous masterpiece of intentional design. From the vast, silent orbits of celestial bodies to the microscopic symmetries of our natural world, there exists an awe-inspiring architecture that governs all things, great and small.
This work is an invitation to pause and recognize the beauty all around. By translating the principles of sacred geometry and classical balance into wearable art, Luna Soeur creates adornment that acts as a bridge between the material and the transcendent . . . a delicate celebration of the wonder of God’s Creation.

Luna Soeur is shaped by the conviction that beauty is never merely incidental. Creation bears order. Light reveals form. The things we make and choose to keep can attest to love, memory, devotion, and wonder.
Here, the stone, the structure, the movement and light are moved into a meaningful relationship. Some pieces look toward the heavens; others draw from nature, architecture, life’s passages, and the bonds that shape us. Each piece is created to be worn often and cherished deeply.

In a world that often encourages self-absorption, Luna Soeur seeks a path of stewardship. We view the body as a vessel and jewelry as a way to honor the life we have been given. Our designs seek to harness the inherent beauty of precious metals and stones to reflect the light of a higher design and a greater purpose.
We handcraft our pieces in small, deliberate runs, ensuring the integrity of the material matches the weight of the inspiration.
By utilizing traditional techniques and high-quality precious metals, we create future heirlooms . . . pieces intended to endure through generations. This is jewelry for those who find beauty in the tender holiness of everyday moments and the mathematical perfection of the stars.

The Hands that Make
It was on the terminus of a decade of turmoil and chaos that I began my journey into the art of jeweling, determined to create a reflection of hope with these hands. In 2014, I began making jewelry under the name The Chestnut Forge.
After years of honing my technique, my work and efforts evolved into a higher purpose, an act of creative stewardship, if you will. My approach is informed by a Catholic understanding of the world that I’ve kept close to my heart through the years: beauty is a bridge to the Divine, and the work of human hands should always point to a greater good.
One thing everyone learns about me is how very important and precious my father, his soul, and the rich heritage he handed down are to me. He was my sanctuary, and spiritually, he remains. This is my way of bearing the torch onward. Through Luna Soeur, I hope to offer a tangible connection to the Divine Order that binds us to a higher state of being and to one another.
