Sizing & Fit Guide
Choosing the correct size is essential to how a piece feels, wears, and becomes part of your life. Because Luna Soeur jewelry is made with intention and meant to endure, a few careful moments of measurement can make all the difference.
If you ever feel uncertain, you’re welcome to reach out before ordering. Guidance is always free.
Rings
The most accurate method
Whenever possible, we recommend having your finger sized professionally by a trusted local jeweler. This remains the most reliable way to ensure a precise fit.
If you already own Luna Soeur rings and are happy with the fit, referencing a previous order is also an excellent starting point.
Measuring at home
If professional sizing isn’t available, there are two reliable at-home options:
1. Ring Sizing Gauge (Recommended)
We offer professional plastic ring sizing gauges, available to ship to you for the cost of shipping only. These provide the most accurate at-home measurement and are especially helpful if you are ordering a meaningful or custom piece.
2. Printable Ring Size Chart
You may also use our printable ring size guide to measure an existing ring.
Important printing instructions:
Open the PDF in a new tab
Select “Print”
Ensure “Scale to Fit” or “Fit to Page” is turned off
Follow the instructions carefully for accuracy
Fit guidance & notes
A properly fitted ring should feel secure, yet slide over the knuckle with slight resistance.
Finger size can change throughout the day and with temperature
For best results, measure in the evening when fingers are naturally at rest
Avoid measuring when hands are very cold or very warm
If you are between sizes, it is generally recommended to choose the larger size
- That being said, Luna Soeur offers ¼ and ½ sizes, as well.
Wider bands:
Bands wider than approximately 3mm tend to fit more snugly. If selecting a wider style, sizing up by ¼–½ size is often more comfortable.
Stacking rings:
If a ring will be worn alongside others, a slight size increase may be appropriate depending on total width.
Larger knuckles
If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, you may need to size slightly up for comfort. Many Luna Soeur designs accommodate this naturally, and adjustments are often possible. If you’re unsure, please reach out before ordering.
Purchasing as a gift or surprise
If you’re choosing a ring as a surprise, borrowing an existing ring from the correct finger can be helpful. Narrow, simple bands provide the most accurate reference.
When in doubt, selecting a size that allows for future adjustment is usually the safest approach.
Bangles
Bangles do not open and must fit comfortably over the hand.
Luna Soeur bangles are sized by hand circumference, measured in inches.
How to measure:
Bring fingers together and form your hand into a gentle cone
Measure around the widest part of the hand (usually the knuckles)
Use a flexible tape or string, then measure the length with a ruler
Typical adult bangle size:
Most adult women fall between 7.75″–8″, though hands vary widely.
If your measurement falls between sizes, sizing up is usually more comfortable.
Bracelets (with clasps)
Bracelets with clasps are measured around the wrist.
How to measure:
Measure snugly around your wrist
Add:
¼” for a close, refined fit
½” for a more relaxed drape
Typical adult bracelet size:
The most common size is 7″.
Necklaces & Layering
Necklace length is a matter of proportion and personal preference. Measuring with a piece of string around your neck can help visualize where a piece will rest, especially when layering.
Specific length notes are included in individual product descriptions where relevant.
A note on adjustments & resizing
Many Luna Soeur pieces can be resized or adjusted if needed. Because not all designs allow for the same degree of modification, we encourage thoughtful sizing at the outset whenever possible.
Detailed information regarding resizing fees, turnaround times, and eligibility can be found in our Shipping & Returns Policy.
